LRHA has a property portfolio across the whole county including a small number of properties in Rutland and Norfolk. The Association’s Vision is ‘Thriving Rural Communities’ and our Mission is ‘Providing Homes for Rural People’.

Affordable housing

There is a serious lack of affordable housing across the Country and Lincs Rural is committed to developing in the rural villages of Lincolnshire.

The Association’s recent investment in affordable housing has been in close cooperation with local communities, involving them in every step of the development process as Partners.

This ‘Community Led’ approach has been successful at Pinchbeck in the South Holland District and Wilsford in the North Kesteven District, where Community Land Trusts (CLT’s) have been facilitated through the guidance of Lincolnshire Community Land Trust.

Will I be informed what category I am in and given a bidding number?

We are different from other organisations that we do not put you into a category. If a property becomes available that you cover the criteria for, your application will automatically be looked at (this does not mean that you will be short listed for an interview).

If you are short listed (we will usually interview about four or five people in their own homes), we will always contact you by telephone first.

Qualifying Conditions

Lincs Rural was formed some 30 years ago to provide affordable homes for local people in the rural villages of Lincolnshire, where a home was out of the reach of the average wage.
