Find a home

Unlike privately rented homes, social housing is allocated according to housing need. In the local authority areas we cover, we advertise and allocate our available homes to rent through Choice Based Lettings (CBL) schemes run by local authorities. In these areas, the local authority criteria will be used to assess your eligibility and housing need.

Can anyone apply to go onto your waiting list?

What happens after I have completed the application form?

Will I be informed what category I am in and given a bidding number?

We are different from other organisations that we do not put you into a category. If a property becomes available that you cover the criteria for, your application will automatically be looked at (this does not mean that you will be short listed for an interview).

If you are short listed (we will usually interview about four or five people in their own homes), we will always contact you by telephone first.

Qualifying Conditions

Lincs Rural was formed some 30 years ago to provide affordable homes for local people in the rural villages of Lincolnshire, where a home was out of the reach of the average wage.
